Terms of Service

1. Early Access & Beta Status

Access during early access is granted at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to change, limit, or end access at any time, with or without notice.

2. Founding Member Program

Founding members receive free access to Spicy Little Stories during the early access period in exchange for active participation in shaping the product.

2.1 What We Ask

As a founding member you agree to:

• Join our founding member community when invited (currently Discord — invite will be emailed)
• Respond to at least one structured feedback request per 30 days — typically a short survey sent in-app or via email
• Introduce yourself in the community within 7 days of receiving the invite
• Report significant bugs or broken experiences when you encounter them

2.2 Access Revocation

Founding member access is a privilege, not a right. We may revoke access — with or without warning — if:

• You have not responded to any feedback request for 30 or more consecutive days
• You have not joined the founding member community within 14 days of receiving the invite
• You violate any other provision of these Terms

Before revoking access for inactivity we will send a courtesy email. You will have 7 days to respond before access is downgraded to read-only, and a further 7 days before full revocation. You may appeal any revocation by emailing us.

2.3 Feedback & Privacy

Feedback you provide (surveys, bug reports, community messages) may be read by the team and used to improve the product. It will not be shared with third parties or published without your consent. You may provide feedback anonymously where the mechanism allows. See our Privacy Policy for full details of how feedback data is handled.

3. Account Terms

3.1 Creating an Account

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when registering
• Keep your password confidential
• Take responsibility for all activity under your account
• Notify us of unauthorized access immediately

3.2 Account Termination

We may terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in illegal activity, or abuse the Service.

2. Content Ownership & License

2.1 You Own Your Content

You retain full ownership of all stories and characters you create. By using our Service, you grant us a license to:

• Store and host your content
• Generate AI-powered scenes and cover images
• Analyze content for service improvement

2.2 AI-Generated Content is Yours

You own all AI-Generated Content created from your prompts. You can use, edit, delete, or publish it as you wish.

3. Prohibited Content & Conduct

3.1 Prohibited Content

You may not create content that:

• Sexualizes, exploits, or harms minors (real or fictional)
• Infringes copyrights or uses real people without consent
• Includes hate speech or discriminatory content
• Facilitates illegal activity
• Impersonates others or is used for spam/scams

3.2 Enforcement

We may remove prohibited content and suspend or terminate your account. We may report illegal activity to law enforcement. You can appeal account terminations.

4. AI Content Generation Disclaimer

AI-Generated Content is created by xAI's Grok model and may:

• Contain factual errors or inconsistencies
• Have grammatical or stylistic issues
• Not perfectly match your intended direction

You are responsible for reviewing and editing generated content. We are not liable for the quality or accuracy of AI-Generated Content.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we provide the Service "AS IS" without warranties.

Our total liability is limited to fees you've paid us in the past 12 months (or $0 if you haven't paid).

6. Third-Party Services

6.1 xAI Grok

We use Grok (owned by xAI) to generate stories and cover images. You agree that:

• Grok's terms of service apply to generated content
• Your story data is sent to xAI's servers
• xAI retains data for 30 days maximum

6.2 Supabase & Vercel

We use Supabase for storage and Vercel for hosting. Your data is subject to their privacy policies and terms of service.

8. Early Access Waitlist

Submitting the early-access form does not create an account and does not guarantee access to the Service. We will use your email solely to send you an invitation when a spot becomes available.

You may request removal from the waitlist at any time by emailing us. See the Privacy Policy — Waitlist section for full details of how this data is handled.

7. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of New York, USA.

Jurisdiction: Both you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in New York County, New York.

Arbitration Option: Either party may choose binding arbitration instead of litigation.
